You may be able to pay for a faster decision on a visa or settlement (‘indefinite leave
to remain’) application.
Using the ‘priority service’ means you’ll usually get a decision within 5 working days,
or 30 working days for Family visa applications from outside the UK.
Using the ‘super priority service’ for visa and settlement applications means you’ll
usually get a decision by the end of the next working day.
It can take longer to get a decision, for example, if the Home Office needs to ask you
for more information.

It may be possible for certain applications to be processed on the same day, via the
Home Office’s Premium Service Centre.
Whether you are looking to extend your current leave before expiry or applying for
Indefinite leave to remain, you can visit a Premium Service Centre in person, located
throughout the UK and your application will usually be processed on the same day.
Premium Service Centres are located in London, Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool,
Cardiff, Glasgow and Belfast.
Super Premium Service appointments are available for certain categories of
applications. Applications and documents are collected from the applicant by courier
and UKVI staff will visit you to undertake your biometrics. A decision is usually made
within 24 hours using such a service.

If you have submitted your application through the standard postal service and wish
to have your application considered urgently, you may be eligible to upgrade to
premium service by paying an additional fee of £500.
